Obituary: Glancy Hogue, 70, Casey Co., KY

He was a retired State Highway worker and a member of the Grove Ridge Baptist Church

Glancy Hogue, 70, Liberty, KY, died Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the James B. Haggin Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY.

The funeral service will be at 2pmET/1pmCT, Sunday, January 17, 2010, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 Hwy 49, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Kevin Pittman officiating. Burial will be in Middleburg Cemetery. Visitation will be in Saturday, January 16, from 6-9pmET/5-8pmCT at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, Liberty, KY.



Glancy Hogue, 70, Casey Co., KY (1939-2010)

Glancy Hogue was the son of the late James Lee Hogue and Naomi Smith Hogue. He was born in Lincoln Co., KY, on Thursday, April 15, 1939, and died in Mercer Co., KY, on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at the age of 70 years, 8 months, and 30 days.

He was retired from the State Highway Department and was a member of the Grove Ridge Baptist Church.

He is survived by the following:
  • Sons: Chris (Janie) Hogue, Stanford, KY; Craig (Lovette) Hogue, Liberty, KY; and Cliff Hogue, Burnside, KY

  • One sister: Kathleen Durham, Hamilton, OH

  • Eight grandchildren
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Victor Hogue.
