Obituary: Zelda Murriel Robinson, 90, Casey Co., KY

Mrs. Robinson was the matriarch of a large, respected family. She leaves 59 direct living descendants. She was a retired hotel manager and was a member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church

Zelda Murriel Robinson, 90, Moreland, KY, died Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at her home.

The funeral service will be at 2pmET/1pmCT, Saturday, January 16, 2010, at Bartle Funeral Home, 132 KY 49, Liberty, KY with Rev. Jim Lynn the officiating clergy. Visitation will be from 6-9pmET/5-8CT, Friday, January 15, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Poplar Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jeff, Steve, and Rick Cochran; Chester McDaniel, and Don and Rod Robinson.

Zelda Murriel Robinson, 90, Casey Co., KY (1919-2010)

She was born March 3, 1919, at Wess, Casey Co., KY, and died January 12, 2010, in Moreland, KY, at the age of 90 years, 10 months, and 9 days.She was the daughter of the late Irvin Goode and Martha Ellen Atwood Beldon.

She was a retired manager of Continental Inns of American and a member of the Chestnut Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Charles "Robbie" Robinson, and the following:
  • Daughters: Sharon Stanfield, Versailles, KY; Glenda McDaniel, Lexington, KY; and Elsie Gallagher, Hartville, OH

  • Sons: Don Robinson, Uniontown, OH; and Rod Robinson of Hartland, WI

  • Step children: Paul, Matt, and Barry Karmer, all of FL, and Allen Karmer, IL

  • Twenty grandchildren, 22 great grand children, and 12 great great grandchildren
