Comment on school cancellation notification

About: Snow Expected No School in Adair County KY today

It is pretty bad when your child stands outside waiting on the bus, only to find out it has been cancelled. Not everyone listen's to Columbia radio, i listen to Campbellsville, plus had the Tv on local channels. They told everyone but Columbia. Columbia schools is the worst to call in for school cancellations. Maybe they should pay the dr bills for the kids who get sick waiting in the cold!!!!!!!!!

s/Pam Woodrum

CM NOTE: Our experience with the local school announcements is that it couldn't be better. I dont know what time some children go to the school bus stop to wait for the bus, but ColumbiaMagazine.com posted the announcement at the top of the front page and in events, at 5:03amCT!, after Mr. Jones called us at 4:57amCT this morning. He always calls us as early as he knows school will be called off, and I think he notifies the other media just as quickly. Hate to disagree with you, but I don't know how Mr. Jones could do a better job. -ED WAGGENER
