Obituary: Jay Wheeler, 80, Adair Co., KY Mr. Wheeler was the head of a prominent South Adair County family. He was a well known farmer and was a member of Hadley's Community Church. Jay Wheeler, age 80 years, of the Chance Community of Adair County, KY, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 5:10amCT, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born November 23, 1929, the son of the late Tilton and Lillie Janes Wheeler, and died Thursday, December 31, 2009, at his home in Chance, Adair Co., KY at the age of 80 years, 1 month, and 8 days. Survived by his wife, Ida Loy Wheeler, of Columbia, KY and the following.
He was a member of the Hadleys Community Church and was a farmer. There will be a private funeral service and burial and no public visitation Family has requested no flowers, memorials are suggested to Hadley's Community Church for distribution of food for needy children and families in Adair County or Gideon Bibles and may be left at the funeral home.
