Election 2010:
John Ford announces for Adair Regional Jailer

ADV PD for By John Ford, candidate for nomination for Adair County Regional Jailer,
in the May 18, 2010, Adair County Republican Primary.

Hi. My name is John Ford and I am a Republican candidate for the office of Jailer of Adair County.

I have been married to my wife Lila Curry for 25 years. We have one son Joshua who is currently in his second year at WKU. I worked closely with Thelbert Curry for about 20 years and we were partners for about 15 years. Thelbert, who received his CPA from Sullivan business school in Louisville, taught me a lot about business, and running the jail is really just running a business on behalf of the county.

With the encouragement of Mike Campbell I went back to school and received my Associates of Applied Sciences degree in computer networking technology, graduating with honors.

When Mike asked me to take over running the airport, he only had one request, and that was in all my decisions to keep the taxpayers in mind because they were the real owners of the airport. With the help of Judge Melton and other local officials we successfully requested and received almost a half million dollars of state money for airport improvements.

You see I have been to Frankfort and know how to successfully present the needs of Adair County.

I have been very blessed to have met the people that have made up my life so far, and from each of these people I have tried to find something good or find something that they do well and apply those lessons to my own life.

I will make only one campaign promise to you. I promise to honestly evaluate every aspect concerning the jail, its facilities, employees, inmates and programs and to make my decisions based on what is right for the county.

My name is John Ford and I ask for your support and influence in the upcoming election. Thank you.

You may read a short autobiography about me at JohnFordsite.com, I tried not to make it too long and left out some of the best parts of my life, like all of the fun we had in the little league. Watching Leon Lewis coach baseball and assisting Anthony Ballou when he coached Joshua in basketball. I think I learned as much as the kids. Then I got to coach football and met a group of outstanding young men, I will keep these memories for the rest of my days.
