Obituary: Earl Howard Murphy, 70, Adair Co. native

Mr. Murphy was a member of a respected family and was a farmer

Earl Howard Murphy, age 70 years of 2646 Edmonton Road, Greensburg, KY, formerly of Clinton County, KY passed away Saturday, December 26, 2009 at 4:40pmCT at the Golden Ages Green Hill Manor Nursing Home in Greensburg, KY.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. James Walker the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty RD, Columbia, KY. The family requests visiting after 4:00pmCT, on Monday, December 28, 2009, at the funeral home.



Earl Howard Murphy, 70, Adair Co., KY (1939-2009)

Earl Howard Murphy was born January 29, 1939 the son of the late Preston Earl & Ruby Lee Adams Murphy of Adair Co. KY and died December 26, 2009 in Greensburg, KY at the age of 70 years, 10 months, and 29 days.

He is survived by the following:
  • Three daughters: Misty Murphy of Edmonton, KY; Teresa Murphy of Campbellsville, KY; and Linette Murphy of McMinnville, TN

  • One brother: Glenn E. Murphy of Columbia, KY

  • One sister: Mary Elizabeth Murphy and husband Donnie of Greensburg, KY

  • Seven grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and friends

  • And a special friend: Virginia Dixon, Greensburg, KY
He was preceded in death by an infant son: David Murphy and by three brothers: Ronnie Dale Murphy, Gene Murphy and Leroy Murphy and by one sister Jeanette Lee Taylor.

Mr. Murphy was a farmer
