Three early 2010 pesticide training dates set

Two are in Columbia at the Extension Office; one is in Knifley at the former Knifley Grade Center

Pesticide training certification is good for three years and is necessary to purchase restricted use pesticides. Farmers are required by law to keep records of applications on all pesticides, including 2-4,D and Glyphosate.

Three dates in January and February 2010 have been set for certification classes. The dates and locations follow:


  • January 7, 2010, at 6:30pmCT at the Adair County Extension Office, 409 Fairground ST, Columbia, KY
  • January 27, 2009, at 10amCT, at the Old Town Cafe (former Knifley School), 12190 Knifley RD, Knifley, KY.
  • February 16, 2010, at 10amCT, at the Adair County Extension Office, 409 Fairground ST, Columbia, KY.
