Obituary: Ceoda (Jack) Keltner, 87, Adair Co., KY

He was the head of a large, respected Adair County family. He leaves 47 direct living descendants. He was a member of the Tarter's Chapel United Methodist Church and was a farmer

Ceoda "Jack" Keltner, 87, of the Cool Springs community, died Friday, December 25, 2009, at 11:25pmCT, at Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, KY.

The funeral service will be Monday, December 28, 2009, at 2pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Rev. Herbert Janes and Rev. David Coffey officiating. Burial will be in Tarter's Chapel Cemetery, 4350 Milltown RD, Columbia, KY.



Ceoda "Jack" Keltner, (1922-2009)

He was born April 8, 1922 the son of the late Phipps and Lee Ella Keltner, and died December 25, 2009, in Columbia, KY at the age of 87 years, 8 months, and 21 days.

He was a member of Tarter's Chapel United Methodist Church, and a farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Bell Marie Burris Keltner, Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • Two sons: C.R. Keltner, Columbia, KY; and Jerry Keltner, Campbellsville, KY

  • Two daughters: Becky Janes and Pam Riddle, both of Columbia KY

  • Twelve grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren
Grissom-Martin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
