LWC Christmas Tree of the Day, Dec. 14, 2009: Grider Apts.

Lindsey Wilson College Christmas Tree Of December 14: Grider Apartments - The residents of Lindsey Wilson Colleges Grider Apartments decorated a white Christmas tree in red and green bulbs that adorn its branches. Sophomores Kayla Koerber of Floyd Knobs, IN, left, Samantha Camp of Owensboro, KY, and senior Sarah Lukas of Eagle River, WI., take special pride in what they call their Promise Tree. Lukas, who is also a resident assistant, created a campuswide program asking students and staff to write their name on candy canes as a pledge to practice responsible alcohol values. The candy canes now hang on their festive tree as a reminder of the promises from more than 50 students, faculty, and staff.

LWC Christmas Tree of the Day, Dec. 15, 2009 College Hill Apts.

Lindsey Wilson College Christmas Tree if December 15, 2009 - College Hill Apartments:< For Lindsey Wilson College resident assistant Steven McGhee, less is more. That's the approach he took when decorating the Christmas tree in his College Hill apartment. "I know there isn't a lot on our tree, but we hope to add more over the years," says McGhee, a senior from Guthrie, KKY. The sole ornament adorning the tree is one McGhee received from his apartment manager. Although McGhee's tree is not covered in ornaments, the one that hangs there is very special, and he says that is what is important.

LWC Christmas Tree of Dec. 16: Lilly Hall



2009-12-17 - Lilly Hall, Lindsey Wilson College, Columbia, KY - Photo by Catie Bilz. Blue and White Theme: Lindsey Wilson College Women's Area Coordinator Heather Davis decorated the Christmas tree in apartment in a blue-and-white theme. Davis, who is also resident director of Henry & Mary Ellen Lilly Hall, says she was skeptical at first about having a white tree. "I didn't know whether or not it would look nice, but it turned out really beautiful," she says. Davis' tree is features different shades of blue ornaments and a beautiful snowflake tree topper.
