Ann Melton: Salato family always will be part of community About: Christmas Memories:None are more special than Columbia, KY, in 60s and 70s To Nancy (Salato Humphrey) via ColumbiaMagazine.com: Nancy, What a wonderful story! You are so right shopping for Christmas was such a special event in downtown Columbia during our childhood. Remember those candy bins at Nell's Variety? How about sitting a John Lowe's counter for something hot to warm you up. Those were the days. I only wish our children had just a taste of how simple life was then and how little it took to make our days special. Your family will always be a part of this community and are missed by many. Hope your family has a very merry and blessed Chistmas.Love Your Always, Nancy Jane, s/Ann Melton This story was posted on 2009-12-13 15:05:43
