Living Christmas dates for Columbia Christian Church

Living Christmas Tree, one of Columbia's favorite Christmas events, has three dates; also coming are K-6th Grade Program, directed by Heather Spoon, Jennifer Ray, and Cortney Cowan; and Teens Christmas program directed by Elizabeth and Joey White

Living Christmas Tree

The tree is up! This year's Living Christmas Tree has been erected and the choir is looking forward to sharing the message of Christmas through music. This year's dates are Thursday, Friday and Sunday, December 17, 18, and 20, 2009. The performances begin at 7pmCT each evening. Dress warmly and bring a canned food item for the Adair County Food Pantry.



This year's program features all new music. The theme for the program is: Hallelujah! Light Has Come. Matthew writes in his gospel: "The people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death, a light has dawned." (Matt. 4:16) The gospel of John states: "The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world." (John 1:9) Jesus Christ is the "Light of Life."

Other special programs:

K-6th Grade Christmas program

Jennifer Ray, Heather Spoon and Cortney Cowan have worked hard with this large group of K- 6th graders to prepare an inspiring and uplifting program for Sunday evening, at 6:30pmCT, December 13, 2009.

Teens Christmas Program>Our teens, under the direction of Joey and Elizabeth White, will be presenting a thought-provoking program along with a candlelight service on Wednesday evening, December 16, 2009, at 6:45pmCT.
