Shamarie Claiborne: Vote YES, the cheaper option on schools

"Do the math," she says in telephone call to CM, In answer to leaning no voter. The lowest cost to the taxpayer is to help the kids have a NEW school.
About: Letter Would say No as of now

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

It really comes down to two options:
  1. Renovate for around $7,000,000 which the State of Kentucky WILL NOT provide matching funds for - meaning there would need to be a tax for around a 11.2 cents per 100 dollars.

  2. Or

  3. Build a new school for $11,000,000 which WILL have matching funds from the State of Kentucky which will only need a community contribution of 5.6 cents per 100 dollars.
I chose option 2 all day long!

s/Shamarie Claiborne
