No children in school, but has vested interest in well-being of community About: Writer agrees that tax may not be fairest but will vote for kids To ColumbiaMagazine.com: I'm with Billy Joe on this one. The school is in bad shape, not because of poor care, but because it's simply old. It's possible there are things that could have been done over the long life of the school to extend it's use a few years. But if there were, they were not. Instead of looking at what should have been done we need to look at what should be done now. The issue is to provide a decent, safe facility for our children. I don't have any children in the school system, but I do have a vested interest in the continued well-being of our community. s/George Kolbenschlag This story was posted on 2009-12-07 03:24:10
