Navy veteran, father of kindergartnener at CWC, not for new school

About: Joe Hare says with right answers from Board, he'd vote Yes

I am commenting on the idea that the government is going to help us out.

In the long run it does not matter where the money comes from, we still end up paying taxes whether it is state or federal.

I have been to CWC as my youngest daughter is in kindergarden! I find the school to not be in bad shape compared to some of the schools that are in Michigan.

I am a disabled veteran from the finest NAVY in the world. When our ships have problems we do not say we need a new ship and deep six the old one because it has a number of problems.

I am all for the idea of repair or replace and upgrade if needed. I have walked through the halls and looked at many things that DO NOT require the demand for a new building.

I find that the community would be better off getting bids on having what we refer to in the Navy as a complete overhaul. The other question to ask is whether the engineers/maintenance is qualified to do what they are tasked with. This would not be the first time that I have seen a company with maintenance/operational problems and it was not an equipment problem. In my personal opinion I feel the school could use a complete overhaul instead of a demolish and rebuild.

I think as a taxpayer this would be financially sound idea considering the state the country is in from a financial standpoint. Why could they not have made ACES larger and combine the staffs.

I feel that the jealousey factor has kicked in which, has pushed some individuals in the direction of making the community believe that, there are serious issues that require a brand new let's soak the community for more money building and still not be happy!!!
