Absentee voting picks up in Special election Five more votes have been cast in the Special School Tax election on the absentee voting machine set up at Adair County Court Clerk Sheila Blair's office as of 4pmCT, today, Thursday, December 3, 2009, bringing the total to 11. Eligible Adair County voters who will be out of the county on the Special Election Day, Tuesday, December 15, 2009, can vote on the absentee machines during regular office hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:30amCT to 4:30pmCT and on two special Saturday openings, December 5 and December 12, 2009, from 8amCT to NoonCT. On the other hand, Thursday was the third day in a row that no new candidates filed in the County Clerk's office, located in the Adair Annex Building, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY.
