Special Election: Urges YES vote for kids on Dec. 15, 2009

About: Six have voted absentee ballots at Annex in first two days

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

It is good that people are voting on this important issue.

There is no doubt that we are behind in educational infrastructure development in our beloved county. All surrounding couties have much better infrastructure and conditions for learning and development.

Russell County has voted 14 cents in taxes to develop better school for their children. One county voted 26 cents in taxes.

Glasgow told us that they had no problems because they had voted the tax some years ago.

As I returned to my this community it didn't take me long when visiting other counties for baseball and football games to realize that we are way behind in our development and providing modern facilities with technology for our children.

We stand at the breakpoint of correcting this error with the election on December 15, 2009, by voting YES for the pennies tax or letting us fall futher behind.

On the larger scope, industries and business looking at locating in Columbia/Adair County first look at the school system, support in the community and the progressive attitude of the community.

We have been lacking in the area of school facilities for the last several years and now is our opportunity to correct.

Plese go to the polls and vote YES on December 15, 2009, for improved future opportunity for all Adair Countians.

Thank you,
s/Bobby D. Morrison
