Viktoria Krell has big night: LWC 73, Berea 63 Krell has double-double 19 points, 21 rebounds; Sierra Rambert has nine rebounds and game high 21 points By Dan White, LWC Asst. Sports Information Director BEREA, KY - Junior Viktoria Krell posted a double-double with 19 points and 21 rebounds to help the 17th ranked Lindsey Wilson College women's basketball team to a 73-63 win on the road at Berea (KY) College on Monday, November 30, 2009. Krell was joined in double figures by senior Sierra Rambert with a game-high 21 points and nine rebounds, while junior Bethany Spillman added nine points and seven boards. Berea (2-8) was led by a trio of players in double digits scoring. Tiffany Yates finished with a team-high 15 points, followed by Annbruce Madden with 11 and Meagan Downs with 10. Krell finished just two rebounds shy of tying the all-time Lindsey Wilson record for rebounds in a game (23). Thirteen of the juniors 21 boards came on the offensive glass. The Blue Raiders struggled from the field, hitting just 29.6 percent of their shots for the game, although Berea didn't fare much better, registering a 30.0 percent mark. Lindsey Wilson Women's Basketball (6-1) plays its next game at 1pmCT on Saturday, December 5, 2009, at Oakland City (IN) University. This story was posted on 2009-11-30 20:22:28
