Obituary: Kenneth (Kenny) Hord, 66, Taylor Co., KY

He was a member of the Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was retired from Taylor Regional Hospital after a 28 year career there

Kenneth "Kenny" Hord, 66, Campbellsville, KY, died November 29, 2009, in Greensburg, KY.

Funeral services will be at 11amET/10amCT, Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Ron Ferree and Rev. Chester G. VanDyke. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3678 Greensburg RD, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be after 5pmET/4pmCT, Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.



Pallbearers are David Carter, Terry Hord, Tommy Maupin, Jerry McMahan, Donald O'Banion, Boyce Simpson, and Darrell Smith.

Kenneth "Kenny" Hord (1942 - 2009)

Kenneth "Kenny" Hord of Campbellsville, son of the late Walter Ray Hord and Elsie Gore Hord, was born in Taylor Co., KY, December 10, 1942. He died at 2:45pm, Sunday, November 29, 2009, in Greensburg, KY at the age of 66 years, 11 months, and 19 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

He was retired from Taylor Regional Hospital after some twenty-eight years service as a nursing assistant.

He is survived by the following:
  • Two sisters: Joyce H. Tucker and Lois Carter of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters: Richard C. Hord, Dorothy O'Banion, Audrey Maupin, Louise Oliver, and Jean Wright.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be donations to the American Diabetes Association and may be made at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
