Celia's Law of Photography worked too well, Saturday

About: "Birds of KY Flight of Sandhill Cranes"

The Celia's Law of Photography No. 1 was in play yesterday: She writes:
"Ed, I've learned that: The best pictures are the ones that occur when the camera is absent. While out walking Saturday, the air became deafening. Looking to the sky, I saw the source: 6 then 7 HUGE 'V's" of, I guess, geese, or maybe sandhill cranes heading south. It was an amazing and beautiful sight. Of course, no camera. Celia Downey
Thanks for the report. Is didn't even have the good sense to be out looking for them yesterday. Fortunately Kay Haupt did. We've also got other Sandhill Crane photos in the archives. Just enter "Sandhill Crane," to find the links. Though, event with the Kay Haupt photo and the one of Sandhill Cranes at Egypt, KY, from George Rice.
