Wave after wave of Sandhill Cranes over Greenhills

About: Birds of KY Flight of Sandhill Cranes photo by Kay Haupt

We received the following note about the wave after wave of Sandhill cranes flying over Adair County on Saturday, November 28, 2009,following publication of the Kay Haupt photo of the Sandhill cranes in flight:
"I'm so glad someone got a picture! We heard the cranes before we saw them. I'd never heard their call before. Wave after wave of them passed over the Green Hills subdivision around 11:00am." -ELIZABETH
Thanks for all the news and comments about the birds. We're so happy to have Kay Haupt's photo. If you have reports or photos, please send using any Comments button on the site. -EW
