Great reading this Sunday. The , November 29, 2009 Sunday CM DAILY NEWS regular columnists + some very special stories you may have missed during the past week. We'll be adding columns throughout the day, PLUS, sometime today we hope to get all the wonderful photos and stories on The Band in New York City collected in one easy to link to Album. Now is the time to really savor the most important part of The Band's trip: Telling and re-telling the wonderful stories from the magic week. Please send links (we're still posting those), antecdotes, thoughts, and photos from the trip for us to add.

In the meantime, please feel free to Click Around, and particularly to try using the DAILY NEWS button, which allows you to pick out a day in history as covered by ColumbiaMagazine.com, and re-experience the stories and photos of that day.

It's getting toward the end of the month, so EVENTS for December, 2009, and January 2010, will be getting attention. We particularly want Christmas Events from Adair, Casey, Cumberland, Green, Metcalfe, Russell and Taylor Counties to put on the schedule.

The little kid in all of us begs to know where the great Christmas light displays will be. Saturday morning, The City of Columbia's downtown was transformed into a Christmas wonderland. Last night it was worth getting out to see the way the City and County buildings are trimmed. Sue Stivers said that the decorations aren't new, but the combinations of displays are.

Really low cost personal and company greetings cards are available on ColumbiaMagazine.com this season. We hope you'll design yours and start it this week.

Christmas product and sales advertising is also available, as well. We'd encourage any business to make sure they take advantage of the CM's readership.

We also want to remind you to Read the Classifieds, Send Birthdays and Anniversaries, and Christmas Stories to us. We've already posted one photo from that series, and hope to kick off stories today, with a wonderful story in which the author recalls the official start of Christmas for her: Going to see the opening of the Christmas displays at Walker Florist.

We'll be starting the Candidate Announcements and Photos series this week. If you are have filed as a candidate, remember to take advantage of the free December 2009 and January 2010 publicity ColumbiaMagazine.com is offering.

Finally, a note on obituaries:We carry obituaries from Adair, Casey, Cumberland, Green, Metcalfe, Russell and Taylor Counties as when we receive them from the funeral homes. If there is a particular obituary which you'd like to see on ColumbiaMagazine.com, please remind the funeral home to send it to us in time for persons wishing to attend visitations and services to read it on the magazine.

Best, from all of us at ColumbiaMagazine.com
