LWC Women's Basketball: Free admission Sat. with food item

Raiders are 5-0 and have three players averaging in double figures: Viktoria Krell, Sierra Rambert, and Bethany Spillman. Food item families, individuals in need during holidays

COLUMBIA, KY - The 17th ranked Lindsey Wilson College women's basketball team is offering free admission to its home basketball game on Saturday, November 28, 2009, with the donation of a non-perishable food item. All donations will be distributed to families or individuals in need during the holiday season.




The Blue Raiders -- who have started the season undefeated at 5-0 -- welcome in McKendree (IL) University (5-2) at 2pmCT at Biggers Sports Center 360 Spickard DR, Columbia, KY. A donation box for the food item will be set up at the main entrance of the gym.

Three Lindsey Wilson players are averaging double figures in scoring early in the season.Junior Viktoria Krell leads the trio at 19.0 points per game, followed by senior Sierra Rambert (14.8) and junior Bethany Spillman (12.6). Krell is also pulling down 10.8 rebounds per contest.Following Saturday's game, the Blue Raiders return to action at 5pmCT on November 30, 2009 at Berea (KY) College. Lindsey Wilson defeated Berea 77-60 on November 21, 2009, in the Berea College Classic.
