Obituary: Bessie Catherine Beard, 90 Green Co., KY The funeral services for Mrs. Catherine Beard were conducted at 11amCT, Monday, November 23, 2009 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home. Burial was in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Bro. Blake Jessie officiated. Pallbearers were Trent Ford, Ray Acree, Lloyd Curry, Larry Coomer, Harold Hudgins, Tomas Murray. Honorary pallbearers were Jackie Hudson, Larkie Hudgins, and Marie Murray. Mrs. Bessie Catherine Beard, Green Co., KY (1919-2009) Mrs. Bessie Catherine Beard of Greensburg, KY, daughter of the late Washington West "W.W." Calhoon and Phebe Elizabeth Walker Calhoon, was born on March 14, 1919 in Green Co, KY and departed this life on Friday, November 20, 2009 in Dayton, Ohio. She was 90 years, eight months and six days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Baptist Church and was a laborer for the American Needlecraft. She united in marriage to Abel Beard on July 9, 1938 who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Wilbert Washington Calhoon, Bobby Gene Floyd and William Floyd. Survivors include a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. The Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY was in charge of arrangements.
