LWC Women's Soccer defeats Missouri Baptist at Reuling NAIA Championship First Round Victory at Reuling Stadium comes on another shutout by Senior Keeper Carrie Revlett, goals by Ida Gregerson, and Mia Persson. No. 1 NAIA team in nation advances to second round national championship play in Decatur, AL, on Monday, November 30, 2009 By Dan White, Assistant LWC Sports Information Director COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson College women's soccer team scored a goal in each half to post a 2-0 shutout win against Missouri Baptist University in the opening round of the NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship at Walter S. Reuling Stadium on Saturday, November 21, 2009. Sophomore Ida Gregersen struck first for the Blue Raiders in the 28th minute with a goal from inside the box off a pass from senior Yolanda Hamilton. Freshman Mia Persson added to the lead in the 51st minute with a charging unassisted goal from the center of the field. Lindsey Wilson outshot Missouri Baptist 4-2 and held a 2-0 advantage in corner kicks. Senior keeper Carrie Revlett finished the game with one save to help secure the shutout. Lindsey Wilson advances to the second round of the national championship to face Southern Nazarene (OK) University - who defeated Texas at Brownsville Saturday, November 21, 2009, 4-1, on - Monday, November 30 at 4pmCT at the Jack Allen Recreation Complex, 2616 Modaus RD SW, Decatur, AL.
