LWC Mens Soccer wins in NAIA National Championship 1st Round Nation's Top NAIA Men's Soccer Team prevails 2-0 over Lee University at home in Columbia, KY with goals by Moses Aduny and Luis Campo. Now its on to 2nd Round in Fresno, CA By Dan White, Assistant LWC Sports Information Director COLUMBIA, KY - After a handball inside the box by Lee (TN) University in the 22nd minute, Lindsey Wilson College senior Luis Campo connected on the ensuing penalty kick for the game-winning goal in the 2-0 win against the Flames in the opening round of the NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship at Walter S. Reuling Stadium. Sophomore forward Moses Aduny scored the game's second goal in the 71st minute on a sweeping kick that rocketed into the left side of the goal off a pass from freshman forward Chris Ochieng just inside the box. Lee goalkeeper Luidgi Beauzile kept the Flames close throughout the contest, making four saves on seven Blue Raider shots. Lindsey Wilson keeper Callum Christie was less busy in goal, collecting just one save on three shots from Lee. Lindsey Wilson held the advantage in corner-kick opportunities, 6-4, while Lee was whistled for five more fouls (17-12) than the Blue Raiders. With the win, Lindsey Wilson improves to 16-2-1 on the season, while Lee closes out its season with a 9-3-3 record. The Blue Raiders advance to the second round of the national championship where they will face the winner of Bethel (I.)
