Columbia Post office honors Macy's bound ACHS Marching band

Columbia Post Office employees, Candice Stockton, Dwight Rich, and Randal Murrell presented a commemorative plaque to the Adair County High School Marching Band. The presentation was made on Friday November 20, 2009,

The plaque features the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade postage stamps issued this year by the United States Postal Service.

The series of four stamps depict a scene of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade including a marching band.
The plaque was presented to commemorate the special honor the band has earned by being invited to participate in the Macy's Parade on Thanksgiving Day. Band members receiving the plaque were the 2009-2010 Senior Band members: Paige Coomer, Kelsey Castaneda, Payton Barnes, Baylee Johnson, Shelby Robertson, Anna Powell and Emily Ellis, Chris Lloyd, Ariel Harris, Tyler Giles, Elton Cheng and Krissy Thomas.
