KSP Post 15 investigating injury Jeep crash in Marion Co., KY Two injured passengers were not belted; taken to Springview Hospital in Lebanon, KY. KSP still trying to determine the driver of vehicle By TFC Billy Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY Collision occurred Saturday night, November 21, 2009, at approximately 8:30pmCT, when a 1988 Jeep, unknown operator, was traveling south on Sulpher Springs RD, left the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned. The operator then fled the scene in the vehicle. The vehicle was later discovered at the Junction of Sulpher Springs Road and Fairgrounds RD. One passenger in the vehicle, Steven Knowles, age 27, of Bradfordsville, KY, was not injured and was not belted. Two other passengers, Faith Renee Nelson, age 24, of Lebanon, KY and Jamie Lynn Smith, age 26, of Bradfordsville, KY were not belted and were transported to the Spring View Hospital for their injuries and later released. All parties denied driving at the time of the collision. Alcohol is believed to be a factor. The investigation continues by Trooper Donnie Moses, who was assisted at the scene by Marion County EMS, CVE Officer Jason Norris, Marion County Rescue, Marion County Fire Department, Bradfordsville Police Officer Nick Gray and Marion County Deputy Sheriff Tim Abell.
