Accomplishment Word of the Day at CWC in honor of The Band About: In just 64 hours The Band heads for New York City by Shamarie Claiborne By Patty Jones, Principal, Colonel Wm. Casey Elementary School I must admit that I got goosebumps just reading this article.I recall so many of these students as kindergartners at Col. Wm. Casey and I can't help but swell with pride as I think of their accomplishments over the years. (We even had the word "accomplishment" as the Word of the Day at CWC today in honor of the band.) The experience in the Macy's Parade will certainly be a lifetime experience to remember for the rest of their lives. I will definitely be watching on Thursday morning and cheering them on from my living room. I wish the students, parents, friends, families, and leaders of the group nothing but the best on their adventure. It is great to have Adair County shining in a positive public light for the entire nation to see. This story was posted on 2009-11-21 02:20:24
