Frankfort/Fairplay reader sees hope after disappointment in CM About: BRBB Four bears spotted this past week in Adair Co KY To ColumbiaMagazine.com Great bear sightings story. I have been somewhat disappointed by the lack of Bear Board reporting. Perhaps Mr. Fudge will re-energize the organization. You just can't hardly get coverage of bears and chicken hawks anywhere but on CM. Keep up the good work. s/Dave Rosenbaum Thanks Bro. Dave. The criticism of CM is well taken. We do promise to do better. Mr. Fudge is showing the kind of leadership that Dean Gary Coomer and I find refreshing. Dean Johnny Vaughn of the Adair Assimilation Academy (AAAcad) has commented that not only is Young Fudge a very knowlegeable boy, he is strictly honest, a strict requirement for BRBB membership, too, albeit a little naive when it comes to playing around with 35 pound bobcats. Dean Vaughn is thinking Great American Pie Factory big. He thinks the BRBB needs a lodge hall, and he thinks Lindsey Wilson ought to build it on some of the college's urban wilderness, and name it for Gary Coomer. It could be their answer to Clay Hill Memorial Forest, run by a little school up the road, we call no names. While it is one heck of a sound idea Dean Vaughn has thought up, I am too much of a pragmatist to think they'll have the vision to build it. And I do hope somebody will put some fire in their bellies and get the place moving - get the moriah up in Columbia again, as Woodrow I used to say. -EW This story was posted on 2009-11-19 08:24:16
