No. 14 Cumberland prevails in Wrestling Dual Match over LWC LWC team shows promise in first home contest. Junior Keith Klink posts win for Blue Raiders with 8-3 decision; Freshman Stephen Rink has close match in the 174 pound match. By Dan White, LWC Assistant Sports Information Director COLUMBIA, KY - With a top-15 national ranking and two top-10 individuals in tow, Cumberland (TN) University recorded a 30-9 win over Lindsey Wilson College in the Blue Raiders first dual match in program history on Tuesday at Biggers Sports Center. Junior Keith Klink posted the lone win for Lindsey Wilson with an 8-3 decision against Cumberland's Noah Hunt at 125 pounds. The match was a low-scoring affair with Klink up just one point (2-1) at the end of the second period. b In the third period, Klink executed a takedown and an escape to create some distance in the score to secure the win. Cumberland's fourth ranked heavyweight, Byron Stewart, was a force in the second match of the night, taking a major decision against freshman Teddy Furnish to put the Bulldog's in early control of the dual. The Bulldogs' James Casadaban, the ninth ranked 157 pounder in the NAIA, added to the Cumberland lead with a pin against sophomore Craig West. Blue Raider freshman Steven Rink wrestled a close match at 174 pounds, losing 5-3 to Nick Sasfy. Sasfy emerged in the third period with two escapes to take the win. Lindsey Wilson Wrestling returns to action at 7pmCT on December 1, 2009, against King (TN) College at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard DR, Columbia, KY.
