Green Co., KY tops area 2009 deer harvest, with 443 so far The modern gun deer season is underway and the numbers are climbing daily at the Kentucky Fish & Wildlife's online telecheck report. So far, in the 7-County Area, the hunt in Green County is the most successful, with 443 deer reported as of November 16, 2009. Adair was next at 389, barely ahead of the 379 in Casey County. The numbers for all seven counties are as follows:
