National soccer (M) tourney top game in Columbia, KY Saturday!

LWC Men's Soccer earns NAIA National tournament's top seed. Blue Raiders face Lee in at Walter S. Reuling Stadium, on Saturday, November 21, 2009 in 16th straight appearances in National Tournament.

COLUMBIA, KY - Lindsey Wilson College is the top-seed in the 2009 NAIA Men's Soccer National Championships. The 31-team national tournament begins on Saturday, November 21, 2009, at on-campus sites.

The Blue Raiders host Lee (TN) University at Walter S. Reuling Stadium in one of 15 opening round games. Fresno Pacific (CA) University receives a bye into the second round as the tournament's host.



Lindsey Wilson (15-2-1) received one of the 24 automatic bids given to the conference, independent and unaffiliated champions. The Blue Raiders captured the Mid-South Conference Tournament title last week.

The national tournament appearance is the Blue Raiders 17th, including 16 straight.

Lindsey Wilson owns seven NAIA National Championships, the same number of championships owned by the remainder of the field.

Lee (9-8-3) earned a trip to the national tournament after winning the Southern States Athletic Conference Tournament title. The Flames reach their fourth tournament in the program's history, including their second straight.

The Blue Raiders own a 4-2 all-time series lead, including a 1-0 win last season at home.

Kickoff time will be announced on Monday, November 16, 2009.
