Putting the school tax in perspective

About: The difference $21 per person per year can make

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

OK, Ed, here is my $21.00 This is much better than the $200.00 I will be paying if the tax passes.

s/Wayne

OK, under $21 "average" per person in Adair County. We were just putting the amount in perspective. Some the added cost of the tax to the cost of two large pizzas a year. In any case, it does seem to be a pittance for the return on local investment. If you'll be paying $200 extra, you should be able to afford $200, since your assessment would be about $400,000 to pay that much in additional tax for the kids. That's nearly wealthy by Adair County standards. -EW
