Library director will address Columbia Woman's Club

By Vonnie Kolbenschlag

The Columbia Woman's Club will meet Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at 6pmCT, in the lower level of the C/AC Chamber of Commerce Building. The speaker for the meeting will be Librarian Lee Ann Jessie, Adair County Public Library, whose topic will be "Services Our Library Offers Our County."

Hostesses are Kelli Bonifer and Mary Anne Loy.

Regular scheduled meetings are the fourth Tuesday of the month. Because of Thanksgiving, this November meeting is earlier than usual. Any woman interested in becoming a member, is welcome to attend. We are now 31 strong and growing.

Sunday, December 6, 2009, Home Tour tickets are now available at the cost of $5.00 each from any member of the club.

Tickets will also be available at each home on the tour: Dr. Bill and Elise Luckey; Brad and Sandy Conover; and Mike and Thelma Robertson. Refreshments follow at the Trabue/Russell House. Watch for posters and more info on Columbia Magazine.

Proceeds from the Home Tour go toward a scholarship to LWC for a graduating ACHS female and for projects within and benefiting the community as a whole.
