LINK, Liberty in N. Korea, representative to speak at CU

CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY - Representatives from Liberty in North Korea, (LINK), will be speaking at Campbellsville University Monday, November 16, 2009 at 7pmCT/6pmET in Ransdell Chapel at 401 N. Hoskins AV, Campbellsville, KY.

LINK is an organization that raises awareness about the human rights and humanitarian crisis in North Korea through the use of media and grassroots support. It also helps those who have fled their country because of this crisis.



Deborah Dean of Rising Sun, MD., a junior at CU, is a member of LINK and will be speaking, along with others, about LINK and what it is about.

"LINK is going around the United States sharing information about the North Korean crisis and what we can do to help."

The movie, "Seoul Train," will be shown and discussed. The movie focuses on the crisis in North Korea along with what the refugees go through to escape.

She said it will also be discussed concerning what we as Americans can do to help the refugees.

Ed Pavy, director of campus ministries, at Campbellsville University will also give some insight into how we are told to love and care for the abandoned.
