Denise Pyles Grant finalist for KY Science Teacher of Year

Adair County Middle School Teacher honored withy Presidential Award for Excellence in Science at conference in Lexington, KY, on November 6, 2009

Ms. Denise Pyles Grant, a seventh grade science teacher at Adair County Middle School, has been awarded the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science and is one of three finalists for the 2009 Kentucky Science Teacher of the Year Award which will be presented next fall at the Kentucky Science Teachers Association annual conference.



The Presidential Award was presented to Ms. Grant last Friday, November 6, 2009, in a ceremony at this year's conference in Lexington. Denise became an educator after working for a number of years in the medical field and has been employed in the Adair County school system for nine years.

She has three children, Joshua, Jenna and Jetson, and is the daughter of Joe and Annabelle Pyles of Adair County.
