LWC Homecoming 2009: MSC Soccer on Fri., Sat. Nov. 6-7

No. 1 in national NAIA ratings LWC Soccer vs. Rio Grande at 3pmCT, today, in MSC Tournament. Men's Soccer, ranked No. 2. plays Pikeville on Saturday. Both games here, at Reuling Stadium, during Lindsey Wilson Homecoming 2009

COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson College men's and women's soccer teams each host a Mid-South Conference Tournament first-round game on Friday and Saturday at Walter S. Reuling Stadium, 151 Blue Raider DR.



The women kickoff postseason play at 3pmCT, today, Friday, November 6, 2009 against the University of Rio Grande (Ohio).

Lindsey Wilson (15-2-1) earned the No. 1 seed after finishing the conference portion of their schedule 7-0, while Rio Grande (1-15-1) is the eighth seed with an 0-7 conference mark.

The Blue Raiders played their first game against Rio Grande earlier this season, winning 11-0 on Oct. 15 in Ohio. Rio Grande is in its first season as a member of the MSC.

Men's soccer opens its conference tournament against Pikeville (KY) College at 7pmCT on Saturday, November 7, 2009

The Blue Raiders (12-2-1) hold the top seed in the men's bracket as well with a 6-0-1 conference record. Pikeville enters the game as the eighth seed with a 0-7 record in MSC action and 5-10-2 mark overall.

Lindsey Wilson closed its regular season on the road against Pikeville on November 2, 2009 beating the Bears 7-0. The Blue Raiders are 4-0-0 all-time against Pikeville. The winner of the first-round games advances to the semifinal.
