Adair County elementary schools flu vaccine clinic announced

Clinic at Col. Wm Casey and ACES; students from John Adair will be brought to Col. Casey site

Lake Cumberland District Health Department, Somerset, KY

The Lake Cumberland District Health Department has announced upcoming 2009 H1N1 vaccine clinics to be held at Adair Elementary and Col. William Casey Elementary Schools on Wednesday, November 11, 2009. Students from John Adair who want to be vaccinated will be brought to the Col. William Casey site.
The clinic is scheduled to start at 9 AM and will wrap up around 2 PM or sooner depending on how many want vaccinations. This is not open to the public - only school staff and students.



2009 H1N1 nasal mist will be offered and a limited number of H1N1 injectable vaccines have been reserved for students with underlying health conditions.

This clinic is only for students and staff of the Adair County Elementary Schools mentioned above who meet the priority groups identified by the CDC.The H1N1 vaccine mist and shot have been approved by the FDA and deemed safe for all school aged children.
