ADAIR CO. KY - Trooper Jamie Richard is investigating a collision that occurred Wednesday evening at 5:43pm 8 miles East of Columbia on the Louie B. Nunn Parkway.

Brittany N. Helton, age 20, of Somerset, KY was operating a 1979 Ford Bronco. She was parked in the East bound emergency lane and attempted to pull back on the roadway. Two passengers were in the Helton vehicle, Aaron Whittle, age 44 of Russell Springs, KY, and Shannon C. Norris, 1 yr old of Somerset, KY (child restraint).

Chakilrra L. Lawson, age 21 of Greensburg, KY was traveling East on the Parkway in a 1997 Ford Taurus. She came to a stop to avoid striking Helton's vehicle.

Terry Antle, age 50, of Russell Springs, KY was also traveling East on the Parkway in 1997 Ford Ranger. As a result of the Lawson vehicle stopping, the Antle vehicle struck Lawson's vehicle in the rear, pushing her into Helton's vehicle.

Lawson was treated and released from Westlake Regional Hospital. Other occupants were not injured. All occupants were wearing a seat belt. Tpr. Richard was assisted at the scene by Tpr. Martin Wesley and Adair County EMS.
