Great turnout for Veterans Program at ACPL By Ernestine Bennett An audience of around 60 turned out last night for the veterans program at the Adair County Genealogical meeting at the Adair County Public Library. There were 16 veterans here. There were vets from World War II, Vietnam and Iraq. There were also family members here who have veterans now serving. Joseph Flowers read a letter that his dad, Alford Flowers, had written while he was in World War II, to Randy Hood, before they married. There was also a flag folding. It was a touching occasion, and often so quiet, especially during the Power Point presentation was going. That was really good. Just wanted to let you know. Adair County Genealogical Society.
