Near-capacity crowd attends The Poet Sings

A near-capacity crowd attended the Lindsey Wilson Choral Ensembles' performance of "The Poet Sings: Musical Settings of Distinguished" Monday evening at Columbia Baptist Church.

Under the direction of LWC Associate Professor of Music and Director of Choral Programs Gerald L. Chafin, the 30-member Lindsey Wilson Concert Choir and 33-member Lindsey Wilson Singers performed 10 poems set to music.The members of the choir Lindsey Wilson College Singersare:

Dr. Chafin has directed the Lindsey Wilson Singers for the past 10 years. The fall concerts series has become a Columbia tradition of 13 years. Almost all of the events have been performed to packed houses.
