Prisoner injured in Marion Co., Ky cruiser/horses collision

Deputy Sheriff uninjured after car rounds curve in KY 49, strikes horses

MARION CO, KY - A collision occurred on 11/01/2009 @ 8:53 p.m. on Ky 49 approximately 3 miles South of Lebanon. Marion County Sheriffs Department Deputy Tim Abell, age 48, of Lebanon,who was belted, was operating a 2007 Crown Vic Police Cruiser and was traveling Northbound on Ky 49 when he came around a curve and struck three horses which were in the roadway.



Abell was not injured. A female prisoner, Donna Montgomery, age 47, of Lebanon was transported to Springview Hospital by Marion County EMS for non life threatening injuries.
