He was a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church and a former employee of Fruit of the Loom

Bobby Mardis, 59, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 11:50amCT, Friday, October 30, 2009, in Greensburg, KY.

Funeral services are at 1:00pmET/NoonCT, Tueday, November 3, 2009, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY by Rev. Al Hardy and Rev. Vic Stansbury. Burial will be in the Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home after 5pmET/4pmCT, Monday, November 2, 2009.




Bobby Mardis, Taylor Co., KY (1950-2009)

Bobby Mardis, of Campbellsville, son of the Laveda Underwood Mardis and the late Hardin Mardis, was born in Taylor Co., KY, May 21, 1950. He died at 11:50amCT, Friday, October 30, 2009, in Greensburg, KY at the age of 59 years, 5 months, and 9 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.He was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom.

He is survived by the following:
  • Two sons: Kyle Mardis of Campbellsville, KY, and Brandon Mardis and wife, Devin of LaGrange, KY

  • Three granddaughters: Makayla Mardis of Campbellsville, KY; and Gracie Hadley and Emma Hadley of LaGrange, KY

  • Mother: Laveda Mardis of Campbellsville

  • One sister and two brothers; Joyce Russell and husband Mike, Garnett Mardis and wife Ruthie and Terry Mardis of Campbellsville, KY

  • One niece and two nephews: Shana Crabtree and husband Allen, Chad Mardis and Derek Mardis of Campbellsville, KY

  • One great niece; Molly Crabtree

  • Special friend, Lindy Forbes of Hardyville, KY

  • And many other relatives and friends
Pallbearers are James Roland "Bootie" Benningfield, Phillip Buckman, Danny Caldwell, Charles Vernon Cowherd, Perry Hoagland, Bob Moore, J.D.
