Obituary: J.C. Magers, 81, Campbellsville, KY Mr. Magers was a member of Liberty Baptist Church where he was a deacon for approximately 70 years. He was a retired employee of General Telephone Company J. C. Magers of Campbellsville, son of the late Geanie Magers and Susan Rigdon Magers, was born March 26, 1928, in Barren County, KY. He died at 12:20pmET, Tuesday, October 27, 2009, in Campbellsville, KY. At the age of 81 years, 7 months, and 1 day. The funeral services were at 1pmET, Friday, October 30, 2009, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Rev. Carlis Compton. Burial was in the Liberty Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers were Aaron Magers, Matthew Magers, Andy Olson, Jake Olson, T.J. Olson, and Chad Snellen. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church where he was a deacon for approximately fifty years. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. He was a retired employee of General Telephone Company having worked some forty-one years. He was formerly a member of the Andy Bowen Masonic Lodge for many years. He united in marriage to Doris Jean Wise March 9, 1951. She preceded him in death April 26, 2003. He is survived b the following:
