The Adair County High School Band swept the Rebel Classic in Florence, KY, on Saturday, October 24, 2009, and we are just now getting ready to caravan back to Columbia, KY. The band won the Grand Championship and these other awards:
  • 1st Place, 3A preliminaries
  • Best Percussion, 3A preliminaties
  • Best Color Guard, 3A preliminarites
  • Best Music, overall, finals
  • Best Colorguard overall, finals
  • Best Percussion overall, finals
  • Best Visual effect overall, finals
  • Best Overall Effectiveness, finals
And, of course the Grand Championship. There are always new milestones achieved in sweeps, and last night it was the realization that we have the best drumline there is, may in America. The drumline beat Dixie Heights in the contest, and Dixie Heights has been considered the very best, until now.
