Obituary: Robert William Lenihan, 62, Campbellsville, KY

Mr. Lenihan was a member of the Saloma Baptist Church. He was a United States Army veteran and served in the National Guard. He was an employee of Cox Interior in Campbellsville, KY

Robert William (Bill) Lenihan, 62, of Campbellsville, KY died at 12:23amET, Saturday, October 17, 2009 in Campbellsville, KY.

Memorial services will be at 1pmET, Saturday, October 24, 2009, at the Saloma Baptist Church, 1505 W Saloma RD, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be at Noon Eastern/11amCT, Saturday, October 24, 2009, at the Church.



Robert William (Bill) Lenihan (1947 - 2009)

Robert William (Bill) Lenihan of Campbellsville, son of the late Harold Gene Lenihan and Dorothy Margaret Garner Lenihan, was born February 3, 1947 in Lamar, CO. He died at 12:23amET, Saturday, October 17, 2009 in Campbellsville, KY, at the age of 62 years, 8 months, and 14 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Saloma Baptist Church.He served his country honorably in the United States Army and the National Guard. He was an employee of Cox Interior in Campbellsville, KY.

He united in marriage to Jackie Lee Perkins December 17, 1966. She preceded him in death January 18, 1997.

He united in marriage to Sharon Maupin Franklin November 5, 2005.

Besides his wife, Sharon Lenihan of Campbellsville, he is survived by the following:
  • One daughter and two sons: Jennifer Armstrong and husband Scott and Michael Robert Lenihan of Moorpark, CA; and William Gene Lenihan of Huntington Beach, CA

  • Two step-sons: Rev. Kyle Franklin and Andrew Franklin and wife Lindsay of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Jackie Sierra Armstrong and Addison Elizabeth Armstrong of Moorpark, CA

  • One step-granddaughter, Makenna Lee Franklin of Campbellsville, KY

  • One brother and two sisters: Lura Midwood, Oroville, CA; Leland Cook, Placentia, CA, and Terry Cook, Henderson, NV

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Dian Vickers.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Gideon Memorial Bibles.

Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY is in charge of arrangements.
