Fatal collision in Monroe Co., at 2:30pmCT today, Oct. 20, 2009 By TFC Billy Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY Trooper Ricky Brooks of KSP Post 15, Columbia, KY is investigating a fatal collision that occurred today, Tuesday, October 20, 2009, at approximately 2:30pmCT. Patricia L Lucas, 34, of Hestand, KY, was operating a 2004 Chevy Silverado westbound on KY Highway 216. Lucas ran off the shoulder of the roadway, struck a culvert, and overturned. Lucas was pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision by the Monroe County Coroner. Trooper Brooks was also assisted at the scene by Trooper Daniel Stephens, the Monroe County Sheriff's Department, Monroe County EMS, and the Tompkinsville Fire Department.
