Grand opening for Adair Entrepreneurs' Rescource Center

The Entrepreneurs' Resource Center (ERC) for Adair County will hold a grand opening on Monday, November 2, 2009 at 2pmCT, a the Adair County Public Library, 307 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, where the ERC will be housed.. Light refreshments will be served.

Regardless of the size, entrepreneurs and small businesses are key to a vibrant future for Adair County and all rural Kentucky. Whether you are self-employed, starting a new business, or want to grow your current business, resources are available to assist you at each stage of your growth.



Entrepreneurs' Resource Centers (ERC) are opening throughout south-central Kentucky* as an outreach of the Kentucky Entrepreneurial Coaches Institute. The goal is to assist citizens in accessing the local, state, and national resources available to help them start and sustain healthy businesses.

Available at these ERCs will be:
  • Step-by-step guides on starting your business
  • Reference and How-to books about business
  • Information about laws, regulations, and taxes
  • License and registration applications
  • Information about funding sources including grants
  • Free market data and research resources
  • Resource people, trained to help you navigate the process of starting a business
  • A "Virtual Business Center" including valuable local, state, and national online resources
  • Access to free videos, tutorials, and sample business plans
  • Information about accessing free business coaching and consulting services.
*ERC locations will soon be available in all the following counties: Adair, Barren, Green, Hart, Marion, Metcalfe and Washington county.
