Book Club studying Cane River, by Lalita Tademy Next meeting is Tuesday, October 20, 2009, at 4:30pmCT The Adult Book Club selection this month is Cane River by Lalita Tademy. It tells of four generations of African-American women, a work based on the author's actual research past-and a book with enormous implications for us all. The author had always been intensely interested in her family's stories, which led her to write Cane River. We meet the third Tuesdays at 4:30pm of each month.
