He was a member of a large, respected Adair County family. Mr. Young was a former employee of Mid-South GeoThermal and a car salesman

David Neil Young, 48, of Columbia, KY died Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at his home.

The funeral Service is Friday, October 16, 2009 at 2:00pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main ST, Burkesville, KY with burial in the Marrowbone Cemetery. Visitation is 5pm until 9pmCT, Thursday, October 15, 2009 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home in Burkesville, KY.



David Neil Young, native of Adair Co., KY

David Neil Young was born on September 1, 1961 in Adair Co., KY to the late Elizabeth "Bunk" Young and Gene Young. and died Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at his home at the age of 48 years, 1 month, and 12 days.

He was a former employee of Mid-South GeoThermal and a car salesman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Peggy Jean Young, and one brother, Donnie Young.

Survivors Include the following:
  • His fiance: Brandy Lawless, Columbia, KY

  • Stepmother: Eloise Jeffries, Columbia, KY

  • Three daughters: Amber Akers and Gracie Young, both of Columbia, KY, and Nina Bunch, Tompkinsville, KY

  • Three brothers: Freddie Kyle Anderson, Glasgow, KY; Larry Joe Anderson, Owensboro, KY: and Richard Young, Jamestown, KY

  • Three stepbrothers: Lonnie Anderson and Ronnie Anderson. both of Burkesville, KY, and Danny Jeffries, Columbia, KY

  • One sister: Patsy Scott, Marrowbone, KY

  • Two stepsisters: Barbara Ann Melton and Lois Jean Jeffries, both of Columbia, KY

  • One granddaughter: Kendall Farringer and a host of other relatives and friends survive.
Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main ST, Burkesville, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
